We boarded the plane in Moscow and then sat on the runway for three hours waiting for the weather to clear. We finally took off about 3:00 a.m. Moscow time and arrived in Tomsk about 7:00 a.m. local time.
Valentina, head of the Russian Peace Foundation in Tomsk, met us at the airport with her two granddaughters, Masha and Susha, who were translators for us during our stay.
It was interesting to see a new Kia on display in the lobby of the airport!
We got our first taste of Siberian snow as we headed out to the bus in the parking lot and headed out to Orphanage #15.
