Wonderful Food & Rooms

We were at least three hours late getting to Tomsk so the first meal the cooks had ready for us was breakfast when we got there about 11:00 a.m. Tomsk time.  Later we had tea and sweets.  The cooks were so wonderful; one of the ladies in our group had her 10 year old son with her who had some food allergies and the cooks went out of their way to cater to his needs.

We slept in rooms that the kids use when they are in residence.  Each room had its own color scheme and decorations.  They had decorated small trees for each room and left their stuffed animals out to greet us.  (Hmm...is that a little Churchmouse from Charleston I see on my pillow?)  The beds certainly weren't what we are used to but they are what the kids sleep in every night.
